We are looking for you who want to work as a teaching pedagogue in Vocational Swedish in Västerås. We are now looking for you who want to become part of our team within Vocational Swedish. You will teach people who need language education within specific professions. The education consists of theory, workplace-based learning, and individually adapted language education.

Job Responsibilities

As a pedagogue in Vocational Swedish, you teach foreign-born participants in Swedish with a connection to industry/profession. This is a job where you get more time for teaching as traditional grade administration is not included. You have the opportunity to work creatively with method development and use new technology for language learning. You have educational and fun collaborations with vocational teachers and professionals. For your help in the work, there are coordinators and pedagogical managers for the assignment.

The work involves continuous dialogue with the Swedish Public Employment Service, collaboration with other actors who also conduct labor market education, and building networks with employers. It is important that you keep up to date with what is happening on the labor market and in business life.

Background and Personal Qualities

• A relevant vocational education of at least one (1) year full-time for the vocational area one intends to teach within, and at least two (2) years of experience of teaching within a vocational area for newly arrived or foreign-born with weak knowledge of Swedish.

We place great importance on personal qualities such as creativity, flexibility, teamwork skills, and the willingness to develop the business. You are driven by creating good results for both the individual participant and your team. You focus on solutions and opportunities.

Digital tools are a given, and you see this as an aid for your own pedagogy and the student's learning.
